Afternoon, all!

Well, things have been hectic around here to say the least. Aside from True Ghost Stories and Hauntings, vol. 2, doing very well, Initiate of Darkness has been released! It’s the fifth book in my From the Darkness series and I know there are more than a few of you who have been waiting patiently for it (or yelling at me every few weeks to hurry up!!)

Below are the link and blurb . . . Enjoy!

Olivia and her foster brother, Seth, are close. Have been since the day she moved in. But now he’s struggling with the tragic death of his friend. He’s depressed. Anxious. And angry.
Fascinated with the paranormal, ghost hunting, and rituals to communicate with the dead, Olivia will do anything to harness the unseen and make it her own. She receives a voice recorder for her birthday and hides it in Seth’s room as a test. The playback convinces her that a negative entity has latched onto her brother. A dark, destructive force that is at the root of his rage.
She must find a way to save him.
While using the Ouija board discovered in the new foster kid’s belongings, Olivia contacts a spirit. One that promises to rid her brother of his demonic attachment. Expand her abilities. Train her.
Olivia is no longer powerless.
She has an ally . . . and his name is Black.

What investigations are on the horizon, you ask? Well, that’s another story. We will be investigating a courthouse in upstate New York next month, about two hours from here. Very cool, steeped in history and has multiple reports of activity . . . not to mention a number of hangings took place on the property.

Also on the investigative horizon will be a boarding house. Its reports of activity were going on long before they began renovations. I’m sure you can imagine why we’re headed in.

We may also be returning to a B&B we’ve been to in the past, still trying to get a name for the child spirit who inhabits the second floor.

This was just a quick update . . . I will try to post more as we go. Life is never dull.

Stay spooky, my friends,

Barb Shadow
